alison kim mclaurin formed tikilynn cards & notes paper boutique to combine two of her favorite things: color and the written word.

as the owner and creative writer, she marries both to create paper lines that spread a little cheer.  

the company is named after her whimsical cat, tiki, who rules the roost.

where does the lynn come from? lynn is alison's sister's (and tiki's nemesis) middle name. as a punishment for the two never getting along, the company was named after both of them. 

just a few years ago, tiki was a stray feline wandering around the chesapeake bay area. now, much to alison's dismay, he happily scratches (her couch has the scars to prove it); eats (human food is his favorite delicacy); sleeps (18 hours a day is a must); and plays (shopping bags are the 3 a.m. toys of choice).

clearly, tiki knows what it’s like to revel in each day!
